introduction
This project involves the production of photorealistic still renderings using 3DS Max of the selected architecture design with materials, appropriate camera views and post-production enhancement on the visual outcome. The visualisation work would be assessed on the types and ways materials are used, types of lights and effects used to set up the scene, setup of appropriate camera views for rendering and skills of using post-production tools to enhance the visual outcome.

01
Revit Model
Before doing exterior & interior rendering, I first completed my model and apply the correct building materials and furnishing in the Revit Software and import it into Autodesk 3ds Max for rendering.
Completed Model
02
Exporting Model
Before importing it into Autodesk 3ds Max, I save the 3D view as an FBX file in Revit software.

04
Placing Camera
First, I start by creating a physical camera from the command panel. Then, I switch to top view and place the camera with the target directed towards the building.

Imported Model
05
Adjusting Camera
After placing the camera, I then switch to the left view to modify the Z height in order to get the best exterior view.

Placing Sun
Next, I opened the Top view again to create the sun by using the Sun Positioner tool. After placing the sun, I adjust the compass radius to 100mm and set the Sun Position to manual. I also adjusted the position of the sun.

Adjusting the Values
From the menu, click 'Rendering' and select environment from the list. After that, click the Render Setup tool and assign ART Renderer as the renderer. Select the camera placed earlier and begin to adjust the corresponding Aperture, Shutter speed and ISO Exposure Gain. After adjusting, click the Render Preview button to see the preview.
STEPS
08
Water Element
I create a large plane which covers the whole model and place it underneath. The plane will act as the water element. Next, I select Noise from the Modifier list which will be used to create the water ripple effect. After selecting it, I proceed to modify the scale parameter and strength parameters.
STEPS
09
Material
Select the plane and press M in order to open the Material Editor and change the preset Materials to Glass(Thin Geometry)

Progress
01
Physical Camera
By using the previous 3DS Max file, place a Physical Camera at the interior and adjust the focal length to 18mm. After placing the camera, the Z height is adjusted to the eye level which is 1500mm
STEPS
02
Material
The Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO are adjusted accordingly to achieve the best effect. The Physical Sun & Sky Environment from the Environment and Effects is dragged to the Material Editor and placed to one of the material. The sky intensity is then adjusted to 3.0
STEPS
03
Interior Lightning
I select the light and check targeted from the light properties and also change the light distribution. After that, I adjusted the light colour and also the light intensity. The light direction is also adjusted accordingly.
